K.T.Tunstall，一个身上流有中国血液的苏格兰人，在她的歌中，我们可以听到Coldplay 和Beth Orton的感动。

也许从kt的这张脸上我们很难辨认出她拥有1/4中国人的血统，kt的祖母是中国人，而她则从小被苏格兰古镇st. andrew的一个家庭领养，kt的养父母虽经常外出，但kt的童年还算在快乐中度过，而时常从哥哥房间里飘出来的重金属乐，却成为了kt与音乐的第一次接触。

一直以来这样的女声不想引人注目都不容易，例如dido、Norah Jones等等，所以也难免拿来相互比较。个人感觉也许是年龄及生活历练的关系，kt的声音听起来没有dido淳厚和苍凉淡泊，没有norah jones喧嚣的jazz，给人总体的感觉很温暖却不失张力。
