因电影THE PEOPLE VS. LARRY FLYNT情色风暴1997、MAN ON THE MOON月亮上的男人等片令人惊喜于演戏才华而挤身好莱坞镁光闪闪的明星，让众人几乎忘了她曾为乐坛悍卫摇滚的超级女将。Courtney Love，将让乐手、创作人、演员等等形容全然称职。

原本嘲讽激进的性格，Courtney刺猬般的情感换上较多份量的女性阴柔，《Celebrity Skin》一上榜，就冲上Billboard Modern Rock 前五名。
