《海盗电台》，让人们的视线回到上世纪那个让人无限怀念与憧憬的60年代，那是Beatles的年代，那是Rollin Stones的年代，那是The Who的年代，那是The Doors的年代，那是Led Zeppelin的年代，那是Deep Purple的年代，那是jimi hendrix的年代，当然，那也是爱与和平的年代。

故事发生在60年灯代，当时的英国BBC电台，只能在一天的一个小时内播放摇滚乐，而有一群无赖DJ，在他们的电台24小时地播放摇滚乐，迷惑了整个英国，迷他们吧以音乐为界限"党同伐异"和政府作对，甚至逆潮流而动推行起爵士乐。此时，在北海领域的一艘船上，店几位DJ自己建起了海盗电台传播着摇滚乐：有从美国来了一次大麻之贾旅"学成回国"的全英最好的DJ加文、有尖酸刻薄却聪明有趣的戴夫以及粗鲁的美国老板昆汀……在"天高皇帝远"的海面上，这群嬉皮中年恣意的享受着自由生活。
