最近看了一本书，名字叫《碰巧的杰作》，很酷的一本书。书的主旨是，你不必成为艺术家，你就可以理解艺术的真谛、体验艺术的激情。因为艺术并不仅仅被创造，它同时也需要我们去发扬。只要目光足够敏锐，我们几乎可以从任何地方发现艺术。“认识”我们生命中的激情，这在某种程度上就意味着“做”艺术。艺术的独特力量在于：联结我们和我们珍视的永恒之物，从而超越此刻、融于太一。在这本书中，我最喜欢的艺术家是雷约翰逊。

Monta是一个由德国籍英国人Tobias Kuhn 撑起的乐团, 这个相貌平平的Kuhn是另一个德国乐队Miles的主唱兼吉他手。Monta应该算是Kuhn的一个solo project。Always Altamont为Monta于2003年发行的第一张EP。在05年发布专辑《Where Circles Begin 》前Monta总是作为配角给 Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes, Elbow, Naked Lunch 等乐队做助阵演出。

Monta是一只典型的独立乐队，风格特异，飘渺的，冷冰冰的，平平淡淡的，微微嘶哑，却温柔暖和。他的曲调也是很温暖的，尽管歌唱的都是忧郁的、灰色的情感。节奏很动听，内敛，不急不缓，即使摇滚也不聒噪，曲子柔和轻巧。
