这位嘴角有颗痣的性感女人在MTV里的表演更是对日本病态社会和文化的极大讽刺。在《辩解DEBUSSY》里，她是一个戴上防毒面具的舞者；《本能》里，她穿上护士服，一拳一脚地打破玻璃，用舌舔女病人；她被狂奔的马到处拖拉，仍然面带微笑服务；她用麻绳包装自己……全出自这个22岁女人的自我“设计”。

从林檎的音乐中可发现到她深受许多西洋音乐大师的影响，小时后的林檎居然还是听“古典乐”长的，“风之谷”与蓝调福音歌曲都曾伴她渡过无忧无虑的童年，有一阵子还很喜欢MARVIN GAYE的音乐呢！其他像Radiohead、Bjork、Led Zepplin、Red Hot Chili Peppers、Sex Pistols、Jimi Hendrix等，也都在她最爱的名单中，尤其是“Sex Pistols”的主唱Sid Vicious更多次出现在她的歌词中。有这么深厚的西洋音乐背景，加上又曾到前卫音乐发源地的英国住过一阵，难怪年纪轻轻的她在音乐中的表现能如此丰富与多元，就算在以流行音乐为主的日本歌坛，也能绽放出亮眼的成绩。
